  6. Pretium is a checkbook accounting program designed specifically for the
  7. Amiga.  To record a transaction, such as a deposit or
  8. withdrawal from your checking account, enter the information
  9. the same way you would record the transaction in your checkbook. 
  10. Pretium keeps track of the running balance and cleared and
  11. uncleared transactions for you.  It makes it easier to reconcile 
  12. your checkbook each month.

  14. Choose an option from the menu and your transactions are quickly
  15. sorted by payee, category, amount, check number, or date.   Pretium
  16. supports check printing to print attractive checks quickly.
  17.  
  18. It also handles more than just checking accounts.  You can use
  19. Pretium for keeping track of credit card charges and
  20. payments, savings accounts, petty cash funds, cash
  21. transactions, and more.  You can work with any number of
  22. separate accounts on-screen at one time.  Select a transaction and click
  23. a button, and Pretium will display address and phone number information
  24. about the payee from its built-in phone and address database. Pretium can
  25. also fill-in information from a previous transaction, matched by entering
  26. just the first few letters.

  28. If you want a clearer picture of where your money is going, you
  29. can have it print a report.  Pretium supports categories and subcategories
  30. for transactions, allowing you to classify and organize your finances.

  32. It also supports importing and exporting of files with Quicken,
  33. Microsoft Money, and other programs that support the QIF exchange format.

  35. Pretium is designed for international use.  It supports all money and
  36. date formats.  Pretium runs on any Amiga with AmigaDOS 2.0 or better.  
  37. Free support is available by phone or e-mail.

  40. accounts, and the documentation in text, HTML, and AmigaGuide formats.
